Hiking and waterfalls

The trail is little known to tourists and passes through an area of ​​the Atlantic Forest.

During the trail, it is possible to observe birds such as toucans, monkeys such as marmosets and capuchin monkeys, and two viewpoints with stunning views of Christ the Redeemer and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.

The tour begins on a trail in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood.

The trail has a total length of 4 kilometers.

The first waterfall is a 1 km walk away, approximately 30 minutes.

Here we will visit the Lagoa Viewpoint, with a sensational view of Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and part of the South Zone, and we will cool off at the Primates Waterfall.

The second waterfall is about a 40/50 minute walk away, and we will pass by the Christ the Redeemer Viewpoint, with a beautiful view of Christ the Redeemer and Corcovado, to reach the Gruta Waterfall, because to bathe in it, it is necessary to enter a grotto.

The tour ends in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood.
